In Dietersberg near Egloffstein, the remains of the original parish church of the Three Kings have been preserved next to the hamlet. This is the original parish church of Egloffstein - although it is located well outside the town of Egloffstein. This constellation is probably a historical development. It was not dissolved until 1750 after the construction of the parish church in Egloffstein, but remained the cemetery church of the community of Egloffstein until 1803. After that, the church fell into disrepair until only the foundation walls remained. The visible remains of the walls probably date from the 12th century. A small excavation inside the church is striking, which represents the site of the Egloffstein family burial site. It is assumed that in the Middle Ages there was a small noble estate next to the church, which belonged to the Egloffstein family and was the predecessor of today's hamlet.
