Kulturbrauerei - what can you imagine as a non-Berliner ...?Well, beer used to be brewed here - culture today. And in many ways, because on the spacious, newly renovated premises of the former Schultheiss brewery - which consists of six courtyards with 20 buildings made of red and yellow clinker - there are now instead of vats and barrels cinema, theater, clubs, a museum, a literature workshop and restaurants. Every Sunday the trucks of "street food on the move" stand in the yard and cook, fry and sizzle delicious street food. In the Christmas season there is also a very beautiful and atmospheric located small Christmas market with feel-good atmosphere.It is also worth taking a close look, as the original lettering on the façade of the industrial monument tells the story of what the buildings used to be.Numerous events take place here. The Kulturbrauerei is a highlight of Prenzlauer Berg. Sundays from 12:00 to 18:00 Street food market, but otherwise worth seeing, as clubs, a cinema, pubs and exhibitions can be found on the site of the former brewery.

The brewery's lettering clearly shows how the modern production facility, around 1900, was organized. The owner was very social: workshops for the disabled, bathing departments and children's facilities were part of it. Beer was nationalized in the GDR until 1967. Now there are cultural offerings, a cinema and a museum about everyday life in the GDR, which is worth seeing.
