The Duderstadt town hall is one of the most beautiful and oldest in Germany. The building history goes back to 1302. The town hall served merchants as a marketplace and was the center of civic life.
Today it is a cultural center, meeting place and place of education. The visitor can go on a journey of discovery from the cellar vault up to the tower.
The Anreischke shows itself every two hours from the window of the town hall tower, combined with the carillon "My Duderstadt am Brehmestrand".

The Anreischke is a landmark of Duderstadt. The name and the figure probably go back to the Polish builder Andreas. Among other things, he built the city wall with many Duderstadt residents who were obliged to work.

Anreischke has been greeting everyone since 1959
2 hours with a glockenspiel from the town hall tower.
At parades or festivals, a wearer slips into the costume of the figure and walks through the city with it.
