Wachwitzgrund Trail

Comfortable driveway from the Elbe Valley to the Schönfelder Hochland. At first tarred, further up a muddy forest road.

The entire path along the Wachwitzbach leads up to Gönnsdorf. This is where the small tributary of the Elbe rises.
Initially, the path leads through the Wachwitz settlement, but then turns into gravel and later into a forest path. At the intersection with a small pond you have to look for something to find the right branch to the pretty single trail above the bottom.
From Gönnsdorf down, caution is advised at this point, as there is a short very steep downhill directly to the intersection.

The underground is asphalted at the beginning. Depending on the weather, the subsequent forest path is sometimes very humid.
