The Malerweg in winter 👨🏼🎨❄️ in four tours over four weekends.
And today we went on the second tour, with the official Malerweg stages 3 and 4. 😊It started at the stop in Porschdorf. Since the connection with the S-Bahn and U28 (the photo is from the departure board is from the change at the Bad Schandau National Park station) does not have a half-hourly cycle, we had to get up early today so that we could start in Porschdorf at 7:28 a.m., there today the longest and most strenuous stage in terms of altitude was ahead of us. 😅The painter's path led us fantastically through the Dorfgrund to Waitzdorf, through Kohlmühle to Altendorf and down into the Kirnitzschtal. The further course was characterized by many highlights, such as the Schrammsteinen, the Affensteinen and the cowshed. We had a lot of muddy and muddy paths today, but also some snow on the Affensteinen, which should be part of every good winter hike. 😉☃️ On the other hand, I was extremely happy that it wasn't as slippery and icy as it was on Lilienstein last Sunday. I think that would have been a completely different challenge today. However, it was a bit painful today that we had to leave so many beautiful vantage points and the associated detours behind due to the time pressure with public transport and the early darkness. But the next pleasure hike will definitely come again. 😊
Estimating the time is a bit difficult with the constantly changing terrain and paths. But all in all we were on the road really well again today, so that we made the first of the two bus connections I had picked out and even had to wait 40 minutes. There would still have been a few detours in there. 🙈
But I'm proud of all my fellow hikers! That was a top performance today! 👍🏻 Since I didn't record the tour with Komoot, it didn't take over the speed in motion. According to Oli's Komoot recording, we even had 1,210 meters of altitude and an average speed of 5.6 km/h! 😁It continues on 01/30/22! I'm looking forward to the next tour! The collection of planned tours is available here: komoot.de/collection/1387739/-malerweg-winter-2022-in-vier-etappen

After yesterday on our first winter tour on the Malerweg with the first two stages and even the first third of the third stage we passed the Lilienstein extensively, we decided to take this as a little Sunday excursion today. In addition, Dirk wanted to break in his new hiking boots 🥾 a bit. However, there wasn't much to do with proper testing, as the paths were all so smooth that we only made very careful and slow progress. Despite the weather, the view was fantastic again! 🤩🍻

The painter's path in winter 👨🏼🎨❄️ in four tours on four weekends. 🗓 We have set ourselves this goal as the start of the new year and we started today! 😊Shortly after 7 o'clock the S-Bahn was already running, so that by changing to the bus in Pirna (one photo is from the bus stop) we could start on time, even a few minutes before 8 o'clock in the Liebethaler Grund, highly motivated. 😁 This reason alone is just fantastic and that in every season. 🤩 Unfortunately there was hardly any snow in this reason, but that should soon change for the rest of the tour. Actually no precipitation was announced today, but shortly after we had left the Liebethaler Grund it started to snow slightly, which accompanied us for the rest of the day. The snow was unfortunately quite wet, but after a short time the landscape turned into a wonderful winter landscape 🥰, so that our start to the Malerweg in winter was also wintry. ☃️❄️
Our way led past the coordinate stone, down into the Lohmener Klamm, from which we went straight out again. We continued to the Uttewalder Grund, to Wehlen, over the Bastei (where there was a quick mulled wine to go 😉), past the Amselsee to Rathewalde and over the Hockstein down through the Wolfsschlucht into the Polenztal, which we also left again directly to climb back up over the Schindergraben past the former bear kennel and then walk on to the fire. Since we were traveling really fast today and did not take a few breaks, we even had enough time to stop for a drink in the Brandbaute before we descended over the fire steps into the valley and then left the Malerweg to the Porschdorf stop to get. That's how fast the first 30km of the Malerweg walked. 😅 It will continue next Saturday. We are also still open to expanding our hiking group. So if you still want to come with us, please do not hesitate to contact us. All tours are in my collection:komoot.de/collection/1387739/-malerweg-winter-2022-in-vier-etappenNow briefly to the dates and figures of the tour. I didn't record the tour with Komoot but with Locus. Interestingly, there was an altitude of 944 meters. Oli recorded the tour directly with Komoot and had an altitude difference of 1060 meters. But I will probably never understand how Komoot calculates this information. 😅 Our average pace in motion was 4.9 km / h.

After I was on my mountain bike for the last time on vacation in August 🙈, I finished the first day of work in the New Year with a high level of motivation in order to finally do a little lap on my mountain bike again. 😁 Due to the sometimes quite muddy paths, there was a lot of walking on roads and paved paths. I only had to take the Webbs - Locke - Trail 1.0 with me, even if I saved myself the last descent to fight my way through the mud towards Borthen. 😉
At least I have made up my mind to spend more time on the MTB again this year. But for the next few weekends, there is first of all a hiking challenge: the Malerweg in four stages. 🥾
Anyone who wants to can come with me. 😉

At the end of the year there should be a picnic on the Carolafelsen. I had imagined it with snow and minus degrees, but that was not the case at around 10 °. 😅 For this we were rewarded with a fantastic view with an almost mystical atmosphere! 🥰
We started our little tour in the wet reason. Through the wilderness or today rather "water hell" we went up to the Carolafelsen. We were up on time for sunset and after a delicious mulled wine and picnic we went back to the parking lot in the dark. In order to preserve the adventure, we chose a descent today that I have never walked before, namely via the Höllweg. An adventure in the dark, but otherwise not as spectacular as the wild hell or the descent over the hell wall reef.
So that should be Komoot events for me this year. Have a good time in 2022! 🥳

After we were spoiled with a wonderful winter landscape last weekend, today in December-Grau ☁️ we should go on a little tour over the Kleinhennersdorfer Stein, Papststein, Gohrisch and Pfaffenstein.
We started in Gohrisch and today we hiked a path up the Kleinhennersdorfer Stein, which I have never walked before, but which was really great. 😊 Actually we wanted to pay a visit to the three caves, but there were just too many hikers at the cave of lights and a fire in the ice cave had only just been extinguished by overnight guests, so we left this cave for today.
The classic hiking trails continued to the Papststein, where you can stop off at the weekend or get a lot to go, like mulled wine. 😋
We went on to the Gohrisch, where we chose the absolutely recommendable Falkenschlucht as a descent.
Today I went to the Pfaffenstein via the "easy ascent", simply because I haven't walked it for a long time. If you are not on the Pfaffenstein that often, you should rather choose the really wonderful ascent via the gorge path. Due to time constraints, we skipped the barberine today, but treated ourselves to a piece of tunnel with a fantastic view. 😋
Then it was only down through the eye of the needle and on the direct route back to Gohrisch.
