The Wriezener Kalkbrennerei, built in 1860, is one of the city's landmarks. Rüdersdorfer Kalkstein was burned to quicklime here until 1926. After the turn of the millennium, many volunteers saved the two ovens from final ruin and created two technical monuments that had become rare.
