Nice Sunday hike with some sun in the still not very spring-like Krumme Lake nature reserve. To round it off nicely, there was a hearty meal at the Art Nouveau Café Liebig.

Our last hike on La Gomera today took us to the eastern part of Garajonay National Park. Here we found a surprisingly different flora, many pine trees, and even a eucalyptus. Today we decided to leave the car parked, and since hiking opportunities in Alajero are rather limited, we headed back down to the two beaches. But first, we visited the palm (honey) museum in town – small but very charming! We were completely alone at Playa del Trigo and could relax and search for seashells

With very changeable weather, two shorter hikes were on the agenda today. Even on the drive there, it was clear that the planned climb to Fortaleza would likely fall victim to the clouds. So we stuck to a short hike through the Jardin de las Credes, a wonderful heather forest, complete with laurel trees

Another beautiful hike through the national park. We especially enjoyed the "enchanted forest," and today the sun even came out at times, creating some unique lighting effects. However, the view (especially towards Mount Teide in Tenerife) was a bit tricky. Nevertheless, we thoroughly enjoyed the hike.

An absolutely fantastic hike! The trail to the Arure waterfall leads mostly directly through the ravine, a truly unique route with a challenging climbing section. Even though the 3.5 km aren't terribly long, the tricky terrain means you'll need a bit more time. The destination is definitely worth it
