Today's hike took us to the castle island in Mirow. A truly beautiful complex (especially the church), but unfortunately not set up for visitors in winter. Most of the cafes were closed, and the damp, cold weather didn't improve our mood... So we headed back to our cozy holiday apartment relatively quickly.

To round off the year, we hiked on Mirower Holm today. With a blanket of snow, we set off from our holiday apartment near the "Hohe Brücke" (High Bridge) towards Holm. Our last day of hiking in the Black Forest was themed around WATER. We started in Todtnauberg in dense fog, drizzle, and slushy snow. From the Feldbergerhof bus stop, we hiked in glorious sunshine to the Feldberg plateau, where we enjoyed a fantastic view all the way to the Alps. The valleys were filled with clouds and mist, making it feel like we were flying. We continued along a rather difficult snowmobile

A lovely little hike from Gut Wulksfelde along the meandering Alster river... all under glorious sunshine. The highlight for us was Gut Wulksfelde itself, especially the restaurant with its excellent (Michelin Guide) organic cuisine. The farm shop is also definitely worth a visit.

What a beautiful final hike! With the morning sun, we headed into the forest near Bansin today. The Mümmelkensee Nature Reserve is a gem, relatively hidden in a peat bog. The day started rainy, so we didn't start until early afternoon. We set off from our holiday apartment through "Usedomer Schweiz," through beautiful autumn forests and past three lakes. The small village of Solling with its thatched houses was particularly beautiful.
