Sylvia & Coach

Five years isn't really old for an e-bike, is it? How many kilometers have you ridden with it? 😉

The final leg of our bikepacking trip took us back to our starting point in Salzburg. Before that, however, we still had some ground to cover and a few meters of elevation to climb. Fortunately, we had started early in the morning for this. After a short, steep climb on the way out of Bad Aussee, we

A beautiful stage! Our second day through Styria offered the finest Alpine panoramas today – from start to finish.

The starting point was our accommodation in Wald am Schoberpaß. Since we had practically already reached the top of the pass, we were able to kick off the day with a leisurely descent through

After Carinthia, we continued on to Styria today. As a quick morning exercise, we first completed the remaining climb in the Lavanttal valley to the Obdacher Sattel. Then, as a reward, followed the long descent through the Zirbenland region. The picturesque views of the Alpine landscape in the morning

Today's stage really surprised me. First, we headed east from our accommodation in Sankt Kanzian to Lavamünd. I had originally planned to do this section on the Drau Cycle Path. But after the long ride the day before, Sylvia understandably didn't want to tackle another 💯er right away. My alternative

After two days on the Alpe-Adria route, another change of direction was on our agenda today. I had already planned the convenient option of the Tauern transfer by train as a last resort in my vacation planning. Shortly after setting off on today's stage, I congratulated myself on this decision when we

Planning for today gave us a headache in advance. Heavy rain showers were forecast, covering a wide area in the region and the Alps. Given our dwindling days, we decided to take the risk and not sacrifice another day with a stay in the hospital. The weather radar offered some cause for hope, showing

On day 13, we had to make a decision about our return journey. Since I generally prefer to reach my destination under my own steam, bus and train were my least favorite options. I would have liked to follow my prepared (optional) itinerary to Slovenia, but rainy days 3 and 8, as well as the delayed departure

After two largely relaxing days in Jesolo, it was time to cover some ground again today. The forecasted heavy rain had only touched Jesolo very lightly and, as promised, had already passed by the morning. Further east, it was supposed to clear up in the afternoon, which was what I had counted on in our
