The Christlessee is located in the southeast of Oberstdorf near the hamlet of Gottenried in the Trettach Valley at an altitude of 916 meters. There are several karst springs at the bottom of the lake, which ensure that the crystal-clear Christlessee, which is of drinking water quality, never freezes over in winter, as this spring water has a temperature of four to six degrees in both summer and winter. The lake can be reached either via the road (only with permission) or via the footpath that branches off at the Mühlenbrücke and leads via Gruben to Gottenried. 100 meters to the north of the lake is the Café Christlessee, which invites you to stop for a break.

Short hike from Oberstdorf over the Moorweiher in the direction of Spielmannsau to the Christlesee. The water is so clear and clean that the landscape is reflected in it. Right next door is the rustic Christlesee Restaurant and Café, which is worth a stop.

The Christlessee can be reached on a beautiful hike through the Trettach valley. The colors of the water are gorgeous ... turquoise and crystal clear ... you can easily reach Oberstdorf again on a circular hiking trail
