  • Many small and large hiking trails, whether uphill or downhill. Almwirtschaften🐄🐐🐔 round off this beautiful cauldron in the overall picture

  • When planning the tour, I first wondered why there were so few photos of it to be found here. However, since the weather forced us to take a very slow, deliberate ascent, I tried every now and then to capture the magnificent views.
Although the path is passable for a flat-country Tyrolean like me, it should definitely be walked with hiking boots and, if possible, with sticks - especially when it rains.

  • From the Seealpe station there is a beautiful hiking trail. Tobel "invites" you to play at work.

  • The entire route in the ravine is pretty terrific. Absolutely do (lazy: from top to bottom, more demanding, however, is the uphill route)

  • You should wear good shoes, because the path leads over some stairs and footbridges made of metal mesh. Due to the spray of the water, the path through the ravine is often wet and slippery. The trail starts right behind the Schattenbergschanzen in Oberstdorf and leads up the ravine on a well-developed path towards the middle station of the Nebelhornbahn. Right at the beginning, the ravine convinces with a beautiful little waterfall! On its way from the Vordere Seealpe to the confluence with the Trettach in Oberstdorf, the Faltbach has to overcome a difference in altitude of more than 400 m over a short distance... that also means for the hiker that 400 meters in altitude have to be overcome over a short distance. The ascent along the Faltbach impresses with beautiful views and never gets boring. It goes up over dam walls and along the wildly romantic stream with its bizarre rock formations. It is worth staying here in the Faltbachtobel to take a closer look at the flora and fauna. If you want, you can now admire the inlet structure of the hydroelectric power station. Here the water is tapped from the torrent to generate energy. At various points you can get very close to the stream bed, where small pools offer welcome refreshment.

  • *Well, with children this path might not be the best descent into the valley!*
The landscape of this path is really beautiful. On the narrow path you walk down when the weir, this way still works.
    - BUT, after that it gets harder! Lots of rubble, mud and a lot of tripping hazards.
    - THEREFORE: Sturdy shoes are mandatory after the weir at the latest, because it goes along the Faltbach over extremely slippery ground, down steep gorges into the valley.
Despite the difficult descent, we were able to collect incredible great impressions in many places <3

  • An impressive experience even or especially in rainy weather. But be careful when it is wet, as stones and roots are slippery and sometimes steep.

  • Wonderful nature. The descent or ascent is worthwhile, even if it is not that easy. Sturdy shoes are a must here.
