A little oil got on the brakes. The sound of the rear brake is in no way inferior to the Eastern European truck brakes. I was really embarrassed to brake.Otherwise: Friday tour with ascent over the Neuffen. I was already at the entrance to the "Lange Steige" just before Strohweiler. There were actually four e-bikers who warned me about mud and mud there.
      So detour via Gutenberg.
Up on the Alb it was pleasant with a jacket. Down in the Lenniger Tal we went on short-sleeved again.

It is very autumn. In the morning it is already uncomfortably cold. The time window for pleasure tours closes every week.Didn't leave until 11 a.m. It was also correct. In and around BadBoll it was foggy until noon. Forest paths were correspondingly wet.The route between Schlatt and Reichenbach is suitable for a mountain test. Even 6 km / h are exhausting shortly before the pass (18% gradient). That’s only 130 Hm ...The robot shop had delicious yogurt and great buttermilk. That saved me. All that up and down comes to a head at some point. The route from Nürtingen via Hattenhofen to Schlatt is terrific. It's not OstAlb yet (it doesn't start until after the Fils), but it feels that way because of the openness and vastness of the landscape. The Alb Mountains beckon all the time and at some point people will be there too.

I am very fascinated by how easy it is to get to the Alb via Urach and Seeburg. Gradually things are going uphill. It works, despite the limestone mountains. If I summarize my inbox with logged adventures and the subjective impression of the use of cycle paths, then this late summer Sunday was probably the one with the highest traffic volume of the year so far. It was fun anyway.

A trip to the mountains - on Friday the 13th of all things. That had consequences.

Next week we're going to the mountains. Today I put my tent, sleeping bag and stone pillow in my rucksack and did a round trip in Honau to get used to it.At some point the rain started. Then we cut it short

It is said that the bishop has a special connection with Peter.
      Let's test!
DWD WetterApp says: rain, thunderstorm and storm. A look at the sky says otherwise.
Let's go. Get flour.First carefully on the direct route to Nürtingen and then straight on to Linsenhofen.A promenade has been set up in Nürtingen. That looks really good there! Then Hummel: The door to the mill was just open. Made a couple of photos. Nice chat with the miller. The world is okay there to some extent.Because it still didn't want to rain, the bishop became cocky. Off to Beuren. At least one nice descent should be possible. Surprise: The road into Tiefenbachtal wasn't even wet. Then along the Neckar to Koengen. There (finally) a few drops fell. Significantly, directly at the church. After 3 minutes the spook was over again.Bottom line: It's not bad to have a direct line to heavenly greats. The bread will be twice as successful tomorrow.

Now it's been 1300 meters again.
The area is just hilly. No matter what I do, there is always a mountain in the way.
I've wanted to go to the Rems Valley for a long time. A lot of people rave about it. To cut a long story short: I don't. The bike path is OK and well frequented. The pattern is always the same: First there is an industrial area, then the town center and then the sewage treatment plant. Then a few fields and it starts all over again.
It got nice again when the river was left behind. But unfortunately also hilly again ...
In particular, the smell of freshly mown grain that was in the air outside Ludwigsburg, together with the yellow fields and rolling hills. That was nice.
Then back left on the Neckar long. Tip came from a fellow cyclist during a rest. Gold was right.
It is a nice feeling to overtake an excursion steamer in a very casual way!

      It was nice.
To a large extent, of course, a class reunion for the ADFC, VCD, BUND and NABU activists, but also some colleagues from Plieningen were there.
Detailed report and a few more impressions under
Not to forget: Nice to have finally met you in person, Sven!
