The Freibergsee is located in the south of Oberstdorf, the southernmost municipality in Germany, in the district of Oberallgäu in Bavaria at 930 m altitude on the wooded Freiberg. The maximum depth of the lake is about 25 meters, it is about 18 hectares in size. Its greatest length is 526 meters, its largest width 484 meters.
The lake is accessible by a driveway over the hamlet Schwand, which is closed to public transport, u. a. through the following trails:

Away from Söllereck via Hochleite
The lake is touristy developed by restaurant, beach cafe, bathhouse and boat rental.
In the south of the lake is the Heini-Klopfer ski flying hill, which is currently the fourth largest ski flying hill in the world. (Wikipedia)
