Freibergsee

Nature is just beautiful, the Freibergsee below the ski jump is beautifully situated.

Boating and swimming in the mountain pool, the lake is very inviting.

The Freibergsee is located in the south of Oberstdorf, the southernmost municipality in Germany, in the district of Oberallgäu in Bavaria at an altitude of 930 m on the wooded Freiberg. The maximum water depth of the lake is about 25 meters, it is about 18 hectares in size. Its greatest length is 526 meters and its greatest width is 484 meters.
The lake can be reached along a road via the hamlet of Schwand, which is closed to public transport, e.g. through the following hiking trails:
Edmund-Probst-Weg (Kornau)
Ziegelbachweg
Away from the Renksteg
Away from Söllereck via Hochleite
The lake is accessible to tourists with a restaurant, beach café, bathing establishment and boat rentals.
In the south of the lake is the Heini-Klopfer ski-flying hill, currently the fourth largest ski-flying hill in the world.(Wikipedia)

The Freibergsee is fantastically beautifully embedded in the Oberstdorf mountains. There are also ways to go around it by bike.

It is worth walking around the lake and drinking a cappuccino by the lake at the end.

Outside the bathing season, the lake with the snow-capped mountains in the background has a special appeal

If you want, you can take a rowing boat on the lake ... or just take a break at the jetty and watch the guests who have their difficulties with the rowing boat :-).

The mountain lake is a highlight

one of the most beautiful mountain lakes I know. Picturesque location with the ski flying hill in the background. I could stay here all day. Due to the existing seaside resort including gastronomy, the lake is also an ideal destination for families on warm summer days. It is also the ideal starting point for great hikes to the Söllereck
