The Commandery Lietzen is the last recognizable knight seat of the former Knights Templar (Order of St. John) in Brandenburg. It was built in 1232. You can enter the grounds and visit (considering the privacy of the owners!). The church is open.

For those interested in the work of the Templars: On my tour along the Saale, I "discovered" a chapel in Mücheln near Wettin, which came into the possession of the Knights Templar at the end of the 12th century. It is said to be the only surviving structure of the Templars in DEU.
