The detour to the Lost Schachten is worthwhile. A small hut with a fireplace can be explored and with the consent of the owner you can also camp there.

The lost shaft, which lies at an altitude of 1140 meters and was first mentioned in 1829, is still owned by the Barons von Poschinger today. The old dilapidated hut has been rebuilt by the Frauenau Forest Association and invites hikers to take a leisurely rest. The shaft is characterized by an extensive area on which the quaking grass sedge, which is also called seaweed, grows. This is the largest contiguous seagrass area of all shafts.
