An alpine path like this one is only supposed to be in the Alps (comparable e.g. Rinnkendlsteig in Berchtesgarden).
I can only recommend the path uphill and only in reasonably dry conditions, as otherwise it can be very muddy.
There is a short section with rope insurance, but it is not exposed and technically not particularly difficult.
Particularly noteworthy is the fantastic view of the northern slope of the Rachel, which towers over the valley by around 500 meters and looks completely wild (no paths, buildings recognizable).
