The former village church is a Romanesque building. The comparative building research dates the church to the 11./12. Century. At the end of the 19th century, the place was expanded as Kammergut (Wikipedia).

The towerless Romanesque chapel in the north of Weitersdorf is a venerable testimony to the long history of the settlement. It originated as a mission church as early as the 12th century. Not far from the chapel there is a strikingly large sandstone cross, which was probably more of a wayside shrine than an atonement cross.
Unfortunately it was just scaffolded, but still a great sight in the environment AND... we want to see it again in new splendor;)
So that means we'll be back.

Romanesque village church from around the 11th/12th Century. The church was probably dedicated to Saint Boniface. Romanesque baptismal fonts or holy water fonts have been preserved. A Gothic wayside shrine northeast of the church and the small cemetery with historical tombs from the 18th century are worth seeing.
