Please check local regulations for: Kulm (LSG)
The 20 meter high Kulm Tower is one of the oldest steel lattice towers in Germany. The listed tower was built in 1884 and extensively renovated in 2012. The viewing platform, which is exactly at a height of 500 meters, can be climbed in any weather and at any time of the day. Caution! The stairs are very narrow, not for people with a fear of heights.

The tower has now been provided with fishing nets. These are intended to prevent visitors from falling out of the tower or between the stairs in case of a crash.
The steps were also renewed with grippy perforated plate. Nevertheless, it remains a bit dangerous. Especially if you like me climb with trail shoes. Always hold on to the two handrails.

Impressive panoramic view, be careful when climbing as the stairs are quite steep. In the inn you can dine home-style. However, the Kulmberghaus is currently being renovated and converted into a wellness facility. However, the inn will remain and should also be accessible during the renovation work, provided Corona allows it.
