A really interesting cave.
You have to walk a little bent over at the entrance, but you can stand up again in the cave.
If you like caves, you should visit the Rothentaler Felsenhöhlen near Kahla.
They are a little smaller, but still very worth seeing.

Hello, here you will find a unique cave in the colored sandstone on the Saalehang near Oberpreilip. Over the past century, the driver and dealer Mr. Schimmel mined fine sand here. This sand was used as room sand and scouring sand. The resulting cave is 160 square meters and has these pillars as a ceiling support. This place looks really mystical and deserted. Please keep calm and leave no garbage or other traces so that many can still visit this strange rare relic of the past. A direct path does not lead there, but it is easy to get there on foot and is great for hiking in the Oberpreilipp, Preilipper Kuppe. Have fun!
