During one of the last stays we discovered the Bernhardspfad by chance. This time it was explored more closely.
In addition to the many little stories of regional development (origins of the Lehnin monastery, churches, brickworks, carpentry yards, agriculture / forestry, fire brigade ...), the part at the NSG / VSG Rietzer See is very interesting and formative. Various observation stations allow relaxed observation and NABU takes care of ...
During the last stay there were fountains + summer music as part of the European. a wonderful concert.
This time you could only listen to the organ playing (training) in the monastery church through the locked door.
However, concerts of the monastery church can be streamed ... we're at the moment with culture, I'll give you a little spring font, even if it's past March:spring
Now he's finally coming after all
      In green bud shoe;
      "He came, he still came"
The trees nod to each other.
They could hardly wait for him
      Now they shoot shot after shot;
In the garden the old apple tree
He is reluctant, but he has to.
The old heart probably hesitates too
      And don't breathe freely yet
It worries and worries; "It's only March
And March is not yet May. "
O shake off the heavy dream
      And the long winter rest:
      The old apple tree dares
      Heart, dare you too.
      🌷 🌷 🌷 🌷 🌷
(short texts due to time, impressions cannot be represented, would go beyond the scope)
All in all it is always a pleasure to enjoy the views and observations over the vast country !!!

Flying visit to Brandenburg .... See the wide landscape ... I have to think of Eva Strittmatter right away:The sandy paths move me
      in the old sandy land.
      The dog rose enclosure.
The Holder bushes on the edge ...

After a little cool sin "McFrappé Choc" (but only because the meeting point is the parking lot there ;-) a round of friends in the sun after work.It went up the Possendorfer Weg to the wonderful orchard meadow path past Possendorf and on towards Erlengrund. Here then in a curve to the Vollersrodaer pollarded willow ponds and down to the Possenbach. The dirt road leads past the Lindenhof back to the starting point. We were able to test briefly whether the 3-Türme-Weg and Goethe-Erlebnisweg are still there ... this information may still be used ^^ ...

With curiosity we went from the center of Oßmannstedt "on the trail of the Ur-Ilm" first towards Süßenborn.
Regardless of how you divide the hike, you should definitely plan some time for the stroll over the Wielandgut that starts with us today. A place full of magic: the grave of Wieland and his wife and Sophie Brentano directly on the Ilm ... one speaks of the "most beautiful German poet's grave" with the inscription "Love and friendship embraced the kindred souls in life and their mortals are covered by this common stone".
Although the current Ur-Ilm-Weg signs are not very clear here, we INSTINCTIVELY found the right way to Ulrichshalben. On the outskirts we discovered the very distinctive memorial stone for the discovery of the women's grave of an Ostrogothic noblewoman from Oßmannstedt with a representation of the eagle brooch.Over field paths and along light groves and the Alandgraben, which led water !, which flows into the Ilm :), we went in the direction of Schwabsdorf.According to the signs, the path turned west shortly before the village, again through a small wood, at the end of which the Sonnenberg and the Süßenborn gravel pit beckoned us. Overall, a very interesting landscape, especially now in spring with the sea of flowers all over! The explanatory board for the "traces of the Ice Age", which we will read afterwards at the church square in Süßenborn, refers to these hills ... If you follow the curves and depressions here with your eyes, you will immediately see the hustle and bustle of the proven "primeval animals." -Arten "in the mind's eye ;-)
A very nice simple church, the OPEN! with various "mini-events" surprises in Süßenborn. Come in and you will be delighted to be greeted musically at any time and also to find a very nice exhibition ... including a cast of a mammoth molar ... traces of the Ice Age ...
Here we are at the connecting bike / hiking route ...
Well, the route we might be aiming for today to the travertine quarry Ehringsdorf "In the footsteps of the Ice Age" over the Taubacher Höhe "only through the fields" seemed too dreary for today. (I will pack these in another round) So we turned off at Schlufter- u. Papiergraben in the direction of Oberweimar. We had set our sights on the heart spring, which last year it was said that it had run dry. Fortunately, this was only a "temporary deficiency symptom" due to the drought. This year things are looking a little better with the springs around here. The Pfeiffer spring should also bubble again, as all participants of the last 3 Towers hike had wished :-) that's just the whims of nature! Since we ran into the valley along with soooo much water in the trenches, it was clear to us that this could not be the case. We found a healthy landscape and a wonderful heart spring.
We were very happy about the clean-up and reforestation work on the path / creek edge.
To top it off, we enjoyed a few atmospheric moments in the open church + church garden of St. Peter and Paul Oberweimar, where the water traditionally comes out from under the church ... how beautiful, this conclusion!
You can travel to Oßmannstedt by train. In Oberweimar, right by the church, there is bus line 1 in the direction of the city center and the train station. Of course, you can also linger briefly in the bee museum and then continue the tour on foot ;-).

In the sun everyone can ...On Easter Monday I don't want to "take care of the stove bench" ... so let's go in the morning ... before "the great weather-lockdown" 😬This time, near home, LET DRIVE on dreamy forest paths "through moss and fir trees", starting from Neusaalborn. Also honored Goethe and walked part of his way, Easter walk:Stream and streams are freed from the ice
Through the lovely, invigorating look of spring,
      Hope grows in the valley;
The old winter in its weakness
      Retired into rough mountains.
From there he only sends, fleeing
      Faint showers of grainy ice
In strips across the green hallway ...
Via Murmelsee, Hubertushütte down to the Kohlgrund and by Gräfinbörnchen back up to Grenzallee.
Then there were a few gusts with drizzle drops, but that wasn't too extreme either and rather a relief for me.
      Sometimes it is like that.
It was encouraging today, too, for the thousands! to listen to little birds, to visit the brooks, springs, ... and to soak in the many different shades of green - from rich to delicate.
I found the thought that local wild boars are also culture freaks amusing (see photos), because there must have been a lot of them on the Goethe Adventure Trail ...
This is possibly related to the renaming to "Goethe-Erlebnisweg"

Inspired by the current Ur-Ilm campaign, there was a flying visit to the headwaters of the Ilm on this wonderful day after a long time.It was a pleasure again to hear the water splashing and splashing from all directions and to look at the wonderful landscape. On the heights there were still small snow stores that can thaw.I started in Stützerbach at the natural pool. From the valley behind, the Taubach flows through the bathing area including the swimming pool into the Lengwitz. The path leads a little parallel to Lengwitz to the "origin of the Ilm". At this point the Freibach joins it. 💦💙 The water then finds its way as the "Ilm" to the Saale. And a few more waters will be added.
Now it was a good idea to follow the course of the Freibach through the wonderfully idyllic valley until the signs to Stützerbach let the path turn left. The forest path then meanders into the Taubachtal and back to Stützerbach. The tour around the Rosenkopf is included😉.

I wish everyone a Happy Easter! 🌷🐰🤗From me today the first short strengthening round (after a stupid infection) with the start in Legefeld, Vollersrodaer Strasse. From here it went on the men's jump over the Röhmberg / Herlitzenberg down to Hetschburg on the Ilmtal-Weg, to immediately branch off again into the Hengstbachtal and complete the circuit.
All the streams carried water, how beautiful! And the forest also had all the spring registers ready
An entertaining group of friends to stimulate the tired organism a little.

      Route part 1:
Center Niederreissen- Kiesgrube- Reissenbach- Oberreissen- Kupferstraße- Comthureihölchzen- Pfiffelbach- Liebstedter Bach- Goldbacher Bach- Goldbach- Nonnenloch- Osmanstedt (-Ilm ;-).
We had 3 Easter bunnies, a roebuck, lots of feathered things, e.g. falcons at the Osmanstedt church and lots of different early bloomers.
The name says it all: "On the tracks ...", there will be a few variations in addition to the perfecting of the route.
On the one hand, we followed the existing signs, in some cases we improvised because we don't (yet) know the exact route of the geological hiking trail and the signs are unfortunately already incomplete. (The initiator pointed this out to us, maybe we can help with our action)
AnDo and I had ideal hiking weather, even if the sun could have waved from the sky a little more often.
It was enough for magical moments in special places.
The route doesn't have that many "tough highlights", but it is very scenic!
Already in Niederreissen the path to the Reissenbach'schen Weiden at the foot of the Kirschhügel is full of rural idyll.
MaxiMagic was in the Comthureihölzchen when we had the little roebuck with us up to 10m while resting.
Also to be emphasized is the all-round view from the highest (282m) point in the middle of the field north of the Nonnenloch. Here we would like to see 'a rest area with a sign', this high viewpoint deserves it. ff.

We love our Ilm and everything around it ;-). Its history is linked to the creation and prosperity of diverse flora and fauna ... There is so much worth knowing left and right and along the way ... so we never get bored.
Rivers are alive in every sense; they make life possible and ... they like to change their course in the course of time, move through the earth.
In exchange with other hiking friends, we came up with new questions: Where did the Ilm flow along and where did it leave its mark? There are already various findings and even a geological hiking trail.
Today in 2021 we can speak of the 10th anniversary of the signposted path ..
Let's first follow the signs from Niederreißen ... where I explored the local situation ...
There is an information board at the gravel pit there.
Sure, the weather is not that great. Maybe the first stage will be sunnier ;-)
