Long planned and implemented today. From the starting point of the Rennsteig in Blankenstein an der Saale to Neuhaus am Rennweg and finally home through the Schwarzatal. The hiking and cycling trails are often separate on the Rennsteig, for good reason. But my ambition wanted to cycle on the hiking trails as much as possible. These are often root trails, muddy descents and once the bike threw me into the mud. Sights can be found in abundance on the Rennsteig. In addition to the Altvaterturm, Lehesten also offers the former slate mining facility. Neuhaus is a bit deserted. Everywhere rest areas invite you to linger. From Neuhaus, the descent to the Leibis Dam was a bit complicated. The path that Komoot suggested apparently no longer exists. Somehow I got by. The woman in the pink dress intercepted me with her friends in Cumbach. Bachelorette party. I bought two roses from her for my dear wife.

When planning a running route with Komoot. Do you experience that too? You let Komoot reel off the navigation. Every time you want to look at the map, it is greatly reduced in size. My route is a point between Lisbon and Moscow. Then you have to zoom in forever. Here on the Rhine you end up zooming in in the greater Paris area. I think it's a knockout criterion. Furthermore, Komoot annoys me when cycling. The map is always northed up again and again. Instead of pointing in the direction of travel. Stupid when you go south. You can't set a map view. Scale, direction etc?
