The Kaiserkrone consists of three platforms, the northern with a view to the Schrammsteinen and in the front Saxon Switzerland, the middle with the weather vane facing west and the southern with the antenna with a view to Zirkelstein.

      Panoramic circular hiking trail
From the summit there is a great panoramic view to the north to the Schrammsteinen, to the east to Bohemian Switzerland, to the south to the Zschirnstein.

Although it is just a hump in the landscape, the Kaiserkrone is a perfect lookout point for the Grosser Winterberg and the Schrammstein chain opposite, as well as Lilienstein, Pfaffenstein, Papststein and Gorisch, as well as the Zschirnsteine and far into Bohemian Switzerland with the conical Rosenberg. The summit of the former table mountain is divided into three parts, reminiscent of the points of a crown and giving the mountain its name. Each of the three summits, secured with railings, offers a different perspective. Unfortunately, there is no longer a weather vane on the middle summit, but there is a large antenna on the front plateau.
At the start of the easy-to-walk path there is an information board showing the sandstone boulder that Caspar David Friedrich recorded in his sketchbook and later used in his painting "The Wanderer above the Sea of Fog".
