Magnificent view! The last stretch of road to the Idagrotte is exposed and moderately secured. Therefore only for people who are sure-footed and are not afraid of heights - after all, the garment there breaks up to 70 meters vertically into the depth.

Exposed way there, but grandiose view. Not suitable for railing fetishists!

The Idagrotte is always worthy of being turned around the rocks and taking in the view.

The best is the way there, through the wild hell and the magnificent view from the Carolafelsen.

Nice view, but also "very busy".
A detour is definitely worth it!

A visit in the early morning is particularly worthwhile, the chance then to be alone there is relatively large.

    Saxon Switzerland very recommendable.

    My recommendation would be:
Without a child and the rest should be free from giddiness 😀

If you pass the Idagrotte and do not have too much fear of heights, it's definitely worth a detour! Visit as early as possible in the morning, after 12 o'clock the Idagrotte is certainly "crowded".

"On the eastern side, at the foot of the rock, is the Idagrotte, also known as the Fries Cave, which is now a popular destination for excursions and can only be reached via a narrow rock ledge and traces of medieval use as living space It is listed in the Saxon Cave Register under No. 5051 SH-04. The Idagrotte is definitely worth a visit. However, one should already be free from giddiness, because the way there is narrow and close to the abyss.
