View from Kleiner Zschirnstein

View from the Kleiner Zschirnstein:
Kleingießhübel is at the bottom of the foot. The table mountains can be seen in the distance, from left to right:
Pfaffenstein, Königstein Fortress, Gohrischstein, Papststein via Papstdorf, on the right behind Lilienstein, Kleinhennersdorfer Stein, the Lasenstein and the Kohlbornstein.
In the background you can see the rock faces of the Rathen area, the fire area and the flat Waitzdorfer Höhe.

With a bit of climbing you get to a very wide fireplace, through this one has a fantastic view. The point can be reached from "below" as well as from "above" if you descend slightly from the path marked with a yellow dot. The access is indeed an old mountain path but especially in winter and early spring hard to find.

On the small Zschirnstein, a wonderful, wide panorama opens up towards Lilienstein, Königstein Fortress, the Affensteine and, on the other side, the Schrammsteine. The Zschirnsteine, or rather this part of Saxon Switzerland, is usually not too crowded, so you can enjoy the view in peace.
