If you have the time and, above all, the courage, you should not miss the ascent through the ladder ladder. A long and narrow staircase leads up through a narrowing gorge. At the top, you will be rewarded with a phenomenal view. Take care of the gap between the stairs and the rock face, then you are on the safe side.

The cowshed and the ladder are definitely worth a visit, but this place - such as. the bastion - especially on the weekend very crowded. If possible, visit in the week or early hour if possible.

The ascent to a rocky plateau with a great view leads over the Himmelsleiter (to reach it you have to go through the Kuhstall), the descent via usual wooden stairs. If you do not trust the sky ladder (because the steps are free, ie support on the walls, crash possibilities but also if you miss it) or if you want to climb high with small children and / or dogs, you can also climb 'back around'. It definitely worth it :)

Pleasant climb leads to a beautiful vantage point. Especially in good weather, it is often full.

An impressive rock gate and a crazy view.
The walk from the parking lot of the Lichtenhainer waterfall is always uphill and if you open your eyes, you will discover a lot of interesting things.
(Unfortunately, the GPS signal was gone in the meantime, and only with the first photo on Münzstein worked again.

Both for hiking and climbing, the cowshed offers plenty. It is an extremely rewarding hike with a wonderful view of the Kleine Zschand and over to the monkey stones. There is an impressive rock gate, which you can reach on the right side (viewing direction Gasthaus) over the Himmelsleiter. The inn provides food and drink. There are trails that are easy to walk - but not barrier-free - and demanding trails that require sure-footedness. There is something here for every Saxon Switzerland lover. The worthwhile climbing routes are around the cowshed mainly in the area VII to VIII of the Saxon climbing scale.

En route on the Malerweg leg 4. The Kuhstall is an impressive rock gate and the largest of its kind on the Malerweg.

Those who are not claustrophobic and fascinated by the cliffs of the rocks of Saxon Switzerland will get their money's worth here. An iron staircase leads up through a very narrow gap to a viewpoint.

To overcome a different kind of altitude, as the ladder is flanked on both sides by rock walls. Finally, there is a beautiful view of the "brave n" hiker
