The Fischmarktbrunnen is considered by experts to be the most beautiful Gothic fountain in Switzerland. At one point 24 figures decorated the fountain, today 22 of them are still preserved. There are 13 angels, 6 saints and 3 prophets. The three main figures depict Mary with the Child, holding a scepter in her hand, Peter with the key, and the Evangelist John. The corner pillars stand for justice, perseverance, and love.
