On May 27 and 28, 2017, the "1st Freudenstadt Wood Art Days" took place on the Kienberg hill in Freudenstadt. Eleven chainsaw artists from all over Germany and Austria carved artistic sculptures there. These sculptures now enrich the "Giant Fir Trees" premium trail and have been placed along the trail.
