Loog is derived from a previous term for border, ie "high limit"

Striking rocks and a beautiful photo motif in a great forest not far from the managed hiking hut.

Hardly any view from up there. However, the Hohe Loog Haus, just a few meters away, is all the more promising.

There are some sandstone rocks on the wooded summit region of the Hohen Loog. The Hohe-Loog-Haus, managed by the Palatinate Forest Association, is located near the summit, from which there is an excellent view of the Kalmit massif and the Rhine plain.

When you get to the Hohen Loog Haus, the small detour to this beautiful rock formation is worthwhile.

Some red sandstone rocks are here. Which are inviting for the little ones to play, romp and climb.

Located slightly above the house. Nice, but not mandatory.
