Sorry, is a bit much Moselle cinema, but I couldn't get enough of it ;-)
Two years ago I went to the Hatzenporter Laysteig with super nice company and in May the Komoot meeting should have taken place here.
It is still the most beautiful dream path I have ever walked.
Today I was a 'snail' because: allergy plagued. I really didn't feel fit at all. But the fresh wind on the way helped a little.

I discovered the Würzlaysteig near Jolanta. (Thank you for sharing!)
This is a "climb" that really deserves its name. Especially the downhill passages on the loose slate were really tough. (Sticks would have made sense, but I didn't have them with me.)
It was a fantastic, quite challenging route with wonderful views.
Meanwhile, my husband checked in at the quarters and then picked up the girls and me at our destination.

Not the most exciting of all tours, but very nice in sections. I had been planning them for a long time and because the weather didn't promise to be as nice as it turned out, we decided to go on a forest tour.
It's great that Rita & Ronnie accompanied us while we were doing our 10,000 km komoot.Rita's Tour:

At the beginning it was steep up the mountain, then you have phenomenal views and walk through sparse forest.
I was a little surprised that I supposedly did not yet know the Cuckucksley (I didn't have the highlight in mine). But then I recognized it, because it is located directly on the Eifelsteig, which I have already walked there. And now it's suddenly twice in my highlights, although I haven't clicked it again. Komoot does strange things sometimes!
The tour has a lot of asphalt, which I don't really like. But didn't bother me this time because of the great views.

Today tourist stuff. I have been planning the route for ages because of the Eifel views, but I never felt like walking it. Now it was time.
But completely extinct, without cafes and galleries, Blankenheim looked rather desolate - despite the sometimes nice scenery. Still better than overrun.
The path on the Ahr was very nice.
