After picking chestnuts 🌰 and taste wine 🍷 (and buy 🤩)
Unfortunately, there was only time for a long walk - but it was still nice 😎☀️
(Komoot "ate" this tour, at first it could not be ended, then after restarting the mobile phone it was gone (but could also have been on the mobile phone) ... then roughly planned the tour and re-uploaded it ...)November 2, 2020

There was surprisingly little going on on the Dilsberg, but all the more so in Neckarsteinach on the promenade and the castle ruins

After the RKI had declared South Tyrol a risk area the day before, the tour operator canceled our hotels without further ado 🤪 - so that this was involuntarily our last tour in South Tyrol before we returned home ...
Even today we only met two other hikers, which may have been due to the weather. According to the weather, our mood was then - we had been looking forward to some nice tours. At least in terms of the weather it wasn't difficult for us to say goodbye.

But since we didn't feel like taking the mountain railway or the bus, we started from Maiern and walked back there. Then we couldn't enjoy the whole high path because there was already some snow and we had to go back. We only met one hiker all day - we love the solitude and tranquility in nature, but that was almost eerie ...

I would only recommend the Jägersteig for sure-footed and head for heights, ambitious mountain hikers - on the one hand there is a steep descent, no safety devices, no marking ... (the map in Komoot incorrectly says it is a normal hiking trail ...)

If a summit should get the title of "ugliest development" in the competition, the Säntis would have deserved this title - but it is a real mountain that not everyone conquers (on foot)!
And that with the 2 hours 30 for up and down again, I don't take komoot off - it was at least 5 hours ...September 23, 2020
