The Kruispoort bridges are two adjacent bridges in Bruges. They are located at the Kruispoort, between the city center and the Sint-Kruis district, and span the Ringvaart canal. Both bridges are one-way bridges. The northern bridge, a bascule bridge located on the Kruispoort itself, serves the traffic that enters the city center, and connects the Moerkerkse Steenweg with the Langestraat. The southern bridge, for the traffic leaving the center, is part of the N9 and connects the Kazernevest with the Maalse Steenweg. After a defect, the southern bridge was removed at the end of 2016. A new drawbridge was installed and opened on 10 February 2018. The northern bridge also consists for a small part of a fixed arch bridge. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kruispoortbruggen
