Bruges is a real gem and since 1998 part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site. The city center, which still appears medieval, is criss-crossed by numerous canals, the Reien, over which picturesque bridges stretch. Cobblestone streets lead through narrow alleys and past historic houses. And since the film “See Bruges… and die” at the latest, the belfry on the market square has been one of the most famous of its kind. There are also excellent restaurants and creative chocolatiers, top-class museums and magnificent churches, world-class music events and leisurely boat tours.

Great city, original, beautiful, lots of chocolate and happy people. Unfortunately we only had 3 hours.
