Some can feel the rain, others just get wet. 🤪✌
The start was today in Kirchehrenbach below the Walberlas (the mountain of the Franks). It went steeply up to the summit with a light drizzle. A great view, even when it rains. And few people !!! The downhill down to Leutenbach turned out to be extremely tricky with the smear, unlike in summer. The counter climb past Ortspitz towards the baroque garden led over wide fields, beautifully blooming blüh cherry plantations and on great trails through the forest 🌲🌳. The Arlesbachtrail down to Egloffstein is a highlight in every season. I reach Egloffstein. The baroque garden is private and a Nuremberg hobby's hobby. I always stop here. Now I follow the beautiful Trubach valley out towards Pretzfeld. I leave the Cafe Mühle with the legger homemade 🍰 cakes on the right, in the hope of the Pretzfeld cellar. In the continuous rain I follow the Trubach before it goes up to the cellar. The cloud cover suddenly tears open and I'm looking forward to Bratwürscht and a Seidla 🍺 from Nickl Bräu. Far from it, rainy weather ... closed. It's bad, I enjoy the view of the Imperial Palatinate town of Forchheim again and I know that Nickl Bräu has a Wegseidla ready for me.
Another quick visit to the Pretzfeld Castle 🏰 and it's off to the starting point. The excursion to one of the largest cherry-growing areas in Europe (approx. 200,000 Kish trees) was once again a mega Sunday for me! LG your Tom 🙋♂️I did not want to withhold the extremely rare spider Ragwurz from you, but the pictures of the orchid were taken on my tour yesterday in my favorite re4, which I do not want to make public for nature conservation reasons.de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gro%C3%9Fe_Spinnen-Ragwurz

Today Lower Franconia was popular. It started in the wine village of Abtswind, straight up to the Friedrichsberg. Childhood memories come up when the inn was still open and we were looking forward to a snack and Raspa after a day's hike from Scheinfeld. The mega trail on Friedrichsberg brings me very entertaining 🚴♂️ on over the Greuther Trail to the Schlossberg. High above Castell the most beautiful "Wine View 🍇 Franconia 2012", the tower which unfortunately is only open once a year, past the judicial linden tree full throttle down into the Casteller Schlosspark. Via the Steigerwaldtrail and the Schwanbergtrail, I can easily reach the great viewpoints in the Main Valley and Iphofen. Of course, I couldn't resist going around the city wall of Iphofen before continuing to the castles Frohstöckheim and Rüdenhausen. Back in Abtswind you take Kistla Bacchus with you Frafor the woman ’, ideally two, now you have a bonus. LG your Tom 🙋♂️

From the source of the Wissinger Laaber it goes following the brook to Haas. Here, just before Berching, the Wissinger Laaber flows into the Weisse Laber. From here I follow the Weißen Laber upstream to Hermannsberg, before I turn back to the source river of the Wissinger Laaber. The Schwarze Laber doesn’t get in our way, because, as is well known, it has its source in Laaber and flows to Regensburg.
Finished talking, see for yourself. 😎I wish all Komootlers a happy Easter.

It started today in Kipfenberg at the hiking car park of the east climb to Michelsberg. We fought our way up steeply uphill with a fantastic view of the Birk Valley. Arrived at the summit cross spreads below Kipfenberg with its great castle. By the way, Kipfenberg is the geographic center of our Free State of Bavaria. Always staying up to date through light-flooded forests and carpets of blue liverworts, we follow our path to the Arnsberger Leite, which offers a breathtaking view of the Altmühltal. Our way back over the Husarensteig with great rock formations, a small grotto and, last but not least, a mega beautiful hiking trail is very entertaining. An impressive spring tour in the Altmühltal comes to an end.

In almost perfect conditions (rainy, windy, snow showers, now and then sun and 4 degrees) I decide to do a lap in my favorite re4. There you have space on the trails and you can switch off and really soak up nature. I like adventurous, weather-exposed biking ..... you feel "life" there.
I start in Türkelstein and my tour takes me through the Geis🐐kirche, past Bärn🐻fels and along the Trubachweg, later via the Fuchs🦊trail to the Jura elephant🐘. I leave the Fuch🐺strail under the Lange Berg and turn to the Höllenstein and its cave. I admire the crazy growing trees on the Krokodil🐊 and continue towards Sau🐖stein. I planned the way back via the gigantic Löwe rock gate. Ultimately, an animal Sunday. 🙋♂️
