The Belvedere Tower is the only new building on the site, built as a lookout point and a sign that the beguinage is not just a legacy, but also a future. This tower is not a heritage site, but a contemporary reference to the former beguinage church. Unlike the other towers in Hasselt, this one has a clear purpose. Here, tourists can climb the tower and enjoy a beautiful view of the city center.
