The Hirzenacher Propsteigarten is, along with the Bürresheimer Schlossgarten, the only garden on the left bank of the Rhine from the early 18th century whose structures have been preserved to this day and its shape has never been changed.
The provost garden consists of a geometrically designed area that lies below the level of the cellar to the east of the provost building and a few garden terraces that extend south of the building. These are planted with vines based on historical models. There is also a gazebo on the top terrace.
