Historical vineyard location Propsteiberg

"Propsteiberg" is the south-facing vineyard in the Padelsbach valley. This vineyard location is named after the provost's office in Hirzenach, which owned this property. After the winegrowers' association in Hirzenach dissolved, the Propsteiberg was abandoned as a vineyard and has been overgrown ever since. As part of a land redevelopment process, the area was cleared of bushes in 2012 and 2013 and is now recognizable as a former vineyard thanks to the many old vineyard walls and is intended to be kept open in the future.
