Gute Wegbeschaffenheit, beste Beschilderung und es geht meist abwärts durch bekannt schöne Landschaft.
Bei Rhein-Kilometer 539 ist es mit der Ruhe und Einsamkeit vorbei und man fährt noch rd. 5 km auf dem rechtsrheinischen Rheinradweg nach Bacharach.

Leaving Kell am See, I return to the Hunsrück-Radweg, which consists of an old railway line up to Hermelskeil. A few km further, I pass the "Flugausstellung Peter Junior" in Hermeskeil-Abtei (surely interesting).

Nach dem Anstieg von Saarburg auf die Höhe hat man sehr schöne Ausblicke. Gute Beschilderung und meist Asphalt.

As I didn't feel like going to Trier at almost 40°C, I ended the "Eifeldurchquerung" (see separate Collection) in Saarburg and drove up to the heights of the Hunsrück in the hope that it would be a few degrees cooler there. Der Kyllradweg selbst ist weiterhin sehr schön und gut zu fahren. Leider viele Umleitungen, die dann eben meist nicht schön sind.

I bid farewell to Kronenburg with a view of the lake and ride the last kilometers of the former railway line to Jückerath. From here, the Kyllradweg leads on small roads/farm tracks, through or around small villages. It becomes slightly hilly, so you always have beautiful views of the landscape.

The journey to Düren with DB was easy despite a defective signal box in W, because a nice SEV driver gave me a ride on the bus.
In Düsseldorf Hbf, I got into conversation with a couple who had just hiked the Wupperweg from source to mouth.

A beautiful tour, which we took from the book "Wanderungen für die Seele-Wohlfühlwege Niederrhein". Forests, small streams, moors and juniper heath offer a varied landscape with paths that are nice to walk on. From the observation tower, you have a great panoramic view. A recommendable round🙂.

A beautiful tour in glorious spring weather😊. In the Reichswald, you can even climb around a dozen summits (between 60 and 95 meters) incl. summit stone😅. A highly recommended area for hiking🙂.
