You elegantly get over/under all motorways and other roads on a good cycle path towards the Rhine.
Visually disturbing is the massive power line near Siegburg.
The last approx. 3 km are off-road: apart from approx. 100m of the worst stones (better to push) everything else is easy.

The signs again pointed out that the cycle path is not continuous. The 1 m wide, always one-sided "sidewalk" was mostly easy to ride on, so that the trucks also passed me well.

Grundsätzlich eine sehr schöne Strecke. Die Beschilderung lässt zu wünschen übrig. Teilweise lässt die Topographie es nicht zu, dass der Radweg von der Landstraße getrennt ist.

At the Tourist Info, there is usually a slender gentleman who advertises "Ask me first". I got into conversation with him when he showed me the perfect parking spot for my loaded bike.
He charges around €40 for a guided tour through Trier. Too expensive for me alone. But you can book him as a small group

Bis Metz ist es ein wunderschöner Abschnitt der La Moselle (tlw. auch Naturschutz); Metz hat mir besser gefallen als Nancy.

I leave Pont-à-Mousson with 2 croissants (0.90€ each) from the bakery and really enjoy the section to Metz. Great landscape, great bike path, temperatures rise to 32°C.
Metz is really worth seeing and pleasantly temperate through the narrow streets/alleys.
