Hiking
Until the beginning of the 20th century, the forests in the region were often used as coppice. Regenerative trees such as oak, hornbeam, linden, maple, ash and hazel were regularly felled in order to make use of the stalk. The regeneration then took place from the root stocks and stumps remaining in the soil. Source: Text information board
