Since 1998, the Botanical Garden has had a new animal attraction: The butterfly show in the greenhouse complex is a huge hit every spring, summer, and fall, especially with young visitors.
Especially in good flying weather (sunlight), hundreds of tropical butterflies belonging to up to two dozen different species can be observed. These include swallowtails, passionflower butterflies, monarch butterflies, tree nymphs, and the large blue morpho butterfly.
