A rare example of a Russian Orthodox church on the outskirts of Leipzig in the direction of the old mass. Built in memory of St. Alexej and inaugurated with the Monument to the Battle of Nations. In memory of the many thousands of Russian soldiers who perished in the Battle of Leipzig and fought alongside the Germans.

The dead soldiers of the Battle of the Nations are commemorated. Only the French are missing, didn't they die here?
