Weber's fountain (Neuenheim city forest, on the Küblersche Wiese); Inscription: "Georg Weber 1808-1888". N.B.: The "Webersbrunnen" did not originally get its name from Georg Weber, but from his eldest son Heinrich Weber. dr phil. Friedrich Percy Weber (1844-1895 in Berlin), editor and writer, had bequeathed 300 marks to a charitable association (which one?) in his will. On February 7, 1896, the same association decided to use the amount of the Weber Foundation to collect the spring located on the Küblerschen Wiese in the form of a stone wall, to direct the spring close to the road, to provide a bench and then to honor the entire complex to name the founder "Webersbrunnen". At the general assembly on March 3, 1896, the resolution of the committee of the non-profit association of February 7 was extended to the effect that the name "Webersbrunnen" was also a souvenir and honor of the father of the donor of the 300 marks, Georg Weber should. Therefore, the sandstone also says "Georg Weber 1808-1888". (kind communication from Dr. Franz Werner, 2012)

Fountain on the side of the Philosophenweg with a bench in the shade.
The fountain was originally built to commemorate Heinrich Weber. Later, his father, Georg Weber, was also honored, whose name tag was attached.
