Today we went on Stage 9 of the Rheinsteig trail.
We drove by car to Kestert and then up the connecting path to the Rheinsteig at Kubrunnen.
Then to the left and on to the hamlet of Lykershausen, where we made an unplanned stop at the hiking kiosk.
The operators here lovingly offer hikers a nice selection

Today I did a tour through Darmstadt to discover corners and highlights that were still unknown to me.
O.k. All in all, not recommended as a hike, but many sections are.
See for yourself!
Afterwards, I went to today's car show and the spring fair.

The Hiwweltour Vorholz is one of the 5 Hiwweltouren that are to be newly opened this spring. The official date for this tour is May 16th. The signage is already in place, the information board is still covered, and benches/tables are missing at several rest stops. There is also still some work to be

Finish!
We completed the last stage of the WeinWanderweg, from Staudernheim to Niederhausen, today.
For logistical reasons, we had postponed this,
We started in Niederhausen in "king's weather" and took the bus to Odernheim. There we wanted to change to a bus to Staudernheim, but unfortunately the first

On the way home from the Rheinsteig weekend, we went on another stage of the RheinSteig.
We parked at the train station in Braubach. Past the St. Barbara Church, we briefly went through the old town and then steeply up to the impressive Marksburg, visible from afar.
Since we had just started, we skipped

Today we drove to Rheinbrohl. Then a short access path to the RheinSteig in the direction of Leutesdorf. And then steeply up to the very impressive memorial of the Infantry Regiment No. 29 in Rheinbrohl and on to the Rheinbrohler Ley with a wonderful view of the Rhine valley. It continued, a bit away

After extending the stage yesterday, today was supposed to go from Bonn to Nieder Dollendorf. Actually! But then we extended the planned tour en route to Oberkassel. And yes, what can I say. When we wanted to leave the Rheinsteig, we realized that it would go steeply downhill to the planned train station

First day of our Rheinsteig weekend. We started in Unkel and then followed the steep access path to the Rheinsteig for about 2 km, passing the beautiful parish church of Unkel. Then, a bit on the high plateau past the Hofgut Hohenunkel and the impressive war memorial, before it went steadily downhill

First of all: today's stage of the Rhein-Nahe-Wanderweg was the most beautiful so far! But the start was a bit exciting. We drove to Niederhausen and wanted to take the bus to Bad Kreuznach from there. At the planned stop, a large red sign informed us that this stop would not be served from 30.03.26

Today it was off to a new Hiwweltour again - the Alsheimer Hohlwege, which was opened last week. One of the 5 new routes. The tour consists of 2 loops that meet at the community center. We first did the loop, which is a good 8 km long, as it was close to our car. A nice round, although we should have
