The impressive Saint Vincent Cathedral was 80% destroyed towards the end of the Second World War in 1944 and was rebuilt with great care. The cathedral is a historical monument. The nave, the crossing, the bay of the north and south crossings and part of the cloister have been preserved from the Romanesque building. The main portal of the cathedral dates from 1595 to 1607. The facade was rebuilt in 1773 in the neoclassical style. In 1851 a side portal in the Renaissance style was built on the right side of the main portal. The neo-Gothic church tower destroyed in the war was rebuilt in 1972. The Saint Vincent Cathedral was built in the shape of a Latin cross. It consists of a nave, two side aisles, a transept (1623) and a choir. The reconstructed large rose window above the choir, which was rebuilt in the 13th century, is impressive. The large rose window corresponds to the church window before its destruction in 1695.
