On the way home we made a stopover in Ypres. The well-known Cloth Hall was on the agenda, which was impressive despite the many construction sites. Unfortunately, Ypres has another special feature, unfortunately not a good one. The Germans used chlorine gas and mustard gas in Ypres for the first time in WWI.

We had hoped to catch a sunset. That's why we went out to the pier again, at the port entrance. However, clouds ☁ pushed in front of the ☀️ very quickly.

Apparently all beach sections on the North Sea, in Belgium 🇧🇪 are being renovated. Since the tide was low, there was of course little water.

Blankenberge is the only seaside resort in Belgium that even has a long pier (Belgium Pier), which has currently turned into a major construction site, and there is a lot of construction activity on the beach promenade.

The most magnificent part of the city is the market with its beautiful stepped gabled houses. Fortunately, the square and the surrounding streets…

Since the weather wasn't really ours today ☔ we wanted to take it a little easier. Stop was today in Eeklo on the pitch at the marina. A little shopping and a little tour of the city. What I hadn't seen in a toilet house before was the urinal outside. The highlight for us was the cathedral. There is…

City tour in Ghent. I have never seen so many listed houses and buildings in any city, there are said to be over 400. Nice weather 🌡 16°C and a strong wind, life in the city is pulsating.
We spent 3.5 km on the rental and live channel with a boat trip. There was the city to look at from a different perspective.

Another stopover in Trier today.
Trier is a city in the Moselle wine region. The city was founded by the Romans and still has some well-preserved Roman monuments such as the Porta Nigra, the Dommit treasury, the Basilica of Our Lady and the Basilica of Constantine. All belong to the UNESCO World Heritage.
