Østerstrand is the largest beach in Fredericia and has been nominated several times as Denmark's best beach.
The beach near the Little Belt is an ideal place to relax and offers everything you need for a perfect day out. The beach is designed as a wide sandy beach and offers good swimming opportunities from the water or from the large circular jetty in the middle of the beach.
Østerstrand is a family-friendly beach with good restroom facilities and changing rooms. Restrooms and showers are available. The restroom building also has a family changing room with shower facilities.
The beach area is equipped with paths and numerous options for a relaxing stay on the beach. Several seating and lounging areas, as well as long tables, are also available to beachgoers. Some of the long tables are covered with stone, allowing the safe use of disposable barbecues.
There are also several free fire pits along the beach.
