Kiki 🌊 and Vandreren 🥾 went on an adventure.

Efter at det havde sneet pænt denne vinter, var det muligt at tage en lille tur på langrendsski. Og det hele i solskin – simpelthen bare skønt.. 🥰

Sightseeing tour through Agadir with stops at the Medina (paid entrance), the mosque, and finally the Kasbah on the mountain with great views over the city and coast. Since the sights are quite spread out, we used taxis for the longer distances in between. Agadir feels very different from other Moroccan cities — more modern, new, and touristy — but still pleasant and definitely worth discovering.

A relaxed walk along Agadir Beach with sand underfoot and the ocean breeze in the air. The route is easy and flat, perfect for unwinding while watching the sun dip below the horizon and the sky light up in warm colors. Ideal for a calm evening stroll by the sea.

This tour follows my exploration of Essaouira’s urban layers. Starting in the Jewish quarter, I moved through streets shaped by communities that once defined the city’s social and economic life, before continuing through the medina and onto the historic city walls, where the logic of the fortified Atlantic port reveals itself.

After a rainy arrival, the sun came out just in time for an evening stroll through Essaouira. The medina feels cosy and calm, a relaxed contrast to Marrakesh. Seagulls fill the harbour with sound, while art shops, sea views, and simple fish restaurants give the city its easy coastal charm.

The final walk was a guided tour, starting at Jemaa el-Fna and leading through the Medina to the Bahia Palace. With added context and stories along the way, familiar streets felt different this time, revealing more history behind the walls. The route continued back toward the mosque, bringing the three walks full circle — a calmer, more reflective ending to exploring Marrakesh on foot.

This walk pushed deeper into the souks, where the Medina feels louder, busier, and more intense. Colorful stalls, constant movement, shouting vendors, and motorcycles squeezing through narrow streets made every turn feel alive. The route ended at Jemaa el-Fna, where all that energy comes together in one vast, buzzing square — a vibrant continuation of exploring Marrakesh on foot.

Today was my first real holiday in Morocco, and I started by exploring the Medina. Walking here for the first time can be overwhelming — so much is happening all at once. Narrow streets, shops on every corner, people everywhere, and motorcycles constantly weaving through the crowds. Add the noise and the mix of intense smells, and it takes a moment to fully take it all in. This first stroll led me through lively souks to the Jardin Secret and on toward the mosque — a perfect introduction to the pulse of Marrakesh.
