From September 15, 2024, stamp station 32 of the hiking treasures of the Wild Homeland will be located at the information board "Rafting on Ilme and Lakenbach" at Lakenteich.

Dragonflies chase over the still water surface and glitter in the sunshine. The water is slightly brownish in color and the banks are surrounded by tall trees. Individual branches hang down low and are reflected in the smooth surface of the water. Although idyllically located in the middle of the forest, Lakenteich was created artificially.

Hiking

Wonderfully quiet and idyllically situated in the forest. Originally built to ensure a water supply for the raftsmen. Anyone interested in history will find interesting information boards and the foundations of an old hiking glassworks. I can only recommend a visit. Here I was able to put the first stamp for my "hiking treasures" stamp booklet. 49 more are just waiting to be discovered.
