After a rainy recovery day, the 6th stage of the Moselsteig led in glorious weather from the Pommern train station past the Catholic parish church of St. Stephen.

For the 5th stage of the Moselsteig, we started directly from our accommodation in Cochem and hiked up to the Pinnerberg with its namesake cross. The name goes back to a shepherd who wanted to save one of his lost sheep from falling and died himself in the process.
