Wanderer in und um Hannover. Ab und zu auch in Nordhessen unterwegs.
Andere Regionen in Deutschland warten auf ihre Entdeckung.
Today I was out and about in the Werra-Meißner district. It went from Hessisch-Lichtenau to the carp catching pond in Glimmerode. From Glimmerode we went straight on towards the Reichenbach ruins. Before that there was a view of the Hellkopfsee. I didn't take a closer look at the Reichenbach ruins on this tour, as I already know them from other hikes. It went on to Wickersrode through the place where I photographed the Deutz.
Above Wickersrode I discovered the work of art Duality on the Ars Natura (see photo).
The hike took me on to Retterode, past the historic fire engine over the village square with the old village linden from 1750.
After crossing the village, it went steeply uphill through the forest with felled trees to the Christoph-Hansen-Hütte, from which one has a beautiful view of Hessisch-Lichtenau. From the hut we went back to Hessisch-Lichtenau past the resting benches, three artistically designed benches that belong to the Ars Natura. From there it went back to the carp catching pond, where the circular hike ended.

Today I went on a hike around the Masch in Hanover. The starting point was at the Gilde Brewery. From there it went along Hildesheimer Straße to the Arthur-Menge-Brunnen. From there it went through the Leinemasch to the Maschsee past the lido and on towards Döhren. There I once circled the Leine weir and found some stork nests occupied in the meadows.
I was able to watch a stork in a meadow. In Laatzen I discovered a peacock enclosure and two peacocks on top of that. One of the two was sitting on the roof of the cage. Then I passed the meadow roof house in Laatzen. However, the restaurant was closed due to the corona. We continued along Wilkenburger Strasse and then turned off to Hemmingen. From there it went past the ponds back towards Maschsee.

Today my hike took me to the Bilstein cliffs. From the parking lot for the hikers we went along the Aschgraben to the Aschsee and on to the Fritz-Catta-Eck, a refuge.
From there it went on to the Marienfelsen and the Bilsteinklippen. From the subsequent visit to the Bismarck Tower, I had a beautiful view of Kassel Niederzwehren. The Bismarck Tower, however, was closed. We continued to Porta Lapidaria, a huge rock (see photo). After a photo stop, we continued past the coffee mill to the Hirzsteinwand, an imposing huge rock face. A wooden lounger was set up there and it was an ideal resting point as there wasn't much going on there. After a little refreshment, we went through the Firnsbachtal to the Herbsthäuschen, which was closed due to the corona. From the autumn house we went back to the hiking car park.

Today was a trip to Lindener Berg on the program. The goal was the scilla flower. From the Maschsee we first went to the Gröne Hus in the southern part of the city and to Aegidientorplatz. We continued to Hohen Ufer and towards Königsworther Platz over the Königsworther Bridge to Hannover-Linden. There I walked past the TAK (Theater am Küchengarten) and continued through the Von-Alten-Garten. It went straight to the real highlight, the Scillablüte on Lindener Berg, where there is also a jazz club. However, it was very crowded on Lindener Berg, but the color spectacle was worth it.
From the Lindener Berg, past the Lindener Turm, the Alten café was my next destination. There was an espresso to strengthen yourself. The next section included the market square of Linden with the GIG, a bar with a good and plentiful selection of beers (unfortunately closed due to the pandemic).
I left Linden via the Black Bear and came to Waterloo. I took another short break in front of the Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz Library. Then it went past the HDI-Arena to the magic forest on the Maschsee. Here I have only photographed the works of art that were new to me. After I reached the lido in Hanover, I went back to the starting point at Pier 51 at Rudolf-von Bennigsen-Ufer.

Today I went to Northern Hesse again. It went from Felsberg-Gensungen via Böddingen to Altenbrunslar and back to Felsberg-Gensungen. On the route I went over the Felsburg and Heiligenberg Castle, from which I was able to enjoy the views of the landscape in good weather.

Today I went to Benther Berg on the spur of the moment. The weather was fantastic. However, the paths on Benther Berg were very muddy. Despite everything, the tour was a lot of fun. Personally, I liked the views of the villages. I will repeat this hike again. I can only recommend the circumnavigation of the Benther Berg.

Today the hike from Laatzen through Koldingen and Grasdorf was on the program. The starting point was in Laatzen and led me to the southern Leineaue. There were relatively few people here today. We continued to the summer oak, a natural monument on the Leineauen Weg. When I arrived in Koldingen, I looked at the office in Koldingen and Red Angel Eyes looked at me from a garden. After a rest on the leash, I saw a stork's nest on a power pole, which had not yet been occupied. Maybe I'll have to go back there in summer or spring. Today's Sunday hike ended at the farmer's cafe in Laatzen.

Today the hike on the Steinhuder Meer was on the program. The weather was very hazy, so unfortunately there was no ideal view of the sea. But there wasn't too much going on on the paths.
I started at the hiking car park near Hagenburg Castle.
In Steinhude, children were out and about on the promenade.
