Church and cemetery are situated in an intertwining position in the village center of Ruisbroek. As early as the 11th or 12th century this place has been a place of worship. There is little information about the construction history. The existing church would have been rebuilt in 1784. Church was expanded in 1858 - 1859 with transept and choir. When the dike broke on 03/01/1976, the Church and the cemetery were never flooded.
