The cave entrance to the Zinnbergschacht shaft is located under the lid.
This cave was opened in its current form in May 2016 by the Franken Cave and Karst Research Group (FHKF). Further research is currently underway in the cave. Excavations are being carried out to search for other suspected chambers.
Below the closure, the cave drops 14 meters vertically, only then do further chambers with shafts, crevices, and halls appear. The total length is approximately 450 meters, and the total elevation difference is 50 meters.
