Best Hikes to Bismarckgrotte Cave

Tips

  • The Bismarck Grotto is one of the largest caves in Franconian Switzerland. It is a passage cave with a length of over 1200m, but with shafts that reach up to 50m deep. You can only get in with climbing gear. This applies to both inputs. Behind the lattice doors, it goes straight down.

  • Very rewarding and a real adventure deep underground. WARNING! Only for people who also have climbing experience and can handle claustrophobic conditions! via-ferrata.de/poi/listing/bismarckgrotte-in-der-fraenkischen-schweiz
